The 2nd installation to this “virtual travel” series is Perth! I hadn’t been to Perth and the west side of Australia yet - always only been to the east side - so I was really excited for this trip! As compared to the east side of Australia, the west side is more undisturbed and underdeveloped, so you have got plenty of nature to explore. With that, though Western Australia is the largest state for Australia, it only has a population of about 3 million.
This trip was meant to be a road trip with a few friends, driving up to Kalbarri. I usually prefer solo travelling, but I can’t drive, so I was okay to join them on this road trip to see all the amazing rock formations! We planned to visit last June, with average temperatures ranging from 10-22degC, and already booked tickets since end of 2019. Never knew a pandemic will strike in a matter of just 2-3mths’ time! Not making all the research and planning go to waste...
For this trip, we are doing 2 nights in Perth, then we drive up to Kalbarri and do 2 nights there, and lastly 3 nights back in Perth. For accommodation, it will a 2 night stay at Tribe Hotel in the Perth city, a 2 night stay at Kalbarri Beach Resort, and a homey 3 night airbnb stay located at East Victoria Park.
