[Virtual Travel] Perth Road Trip Day 3

6:15am: Check-out of hotel, to Lancelin Sand Dunes (1.5hrs)

After check-out of hotel, we make our way to Lancelin Sand Dunes. You can rent a sandboard if you don’t have one. Be ready to be greeted with pure white sand dunes over 3 storeys high! If you are planning to drive into the sand dunes, you have to get a 4 wheel drive. Other than sliding down the dunes, you can also do ATV and some other activities here!

8am: Collect Sandboards, Sandboarding + brunch (2.5hrs)

You can rent a sandboard for $12.50, up to 2.5hrs usage. Do remember to bring along shades and shawl to protect your face in case it gets windy.

After returning our sandboards, we had brunch nearby, before we continue our journey up north to Hutt Lagoon.

11:30am: To Hutt Lagoon Pink Lake (4.5hrs), stopover break, Sunset at Pink Lake

Hutt Lagoon is a marine salt lake. It is one of those lakes in Australia that turns pink due to high salt level and caroteinoid-producing algae. The Hutt Lagoon’s pink lake remains pink almost throughout the year, but varies in shade with the changing environment temperature.

5:45pm: To Kalbarri Beach Resort (35mins), Dinner at Dirt Dust N Diesels Outback

We will be staying at Kalbarri for 2 nights. There are a few accommodations here and we chose Kalbarri Beach Resort. After check-in and settling down, we went to the nearby Dirt Dust N Diesels Outback for dinner. This place is so rustic, so Wild West!

After dinner, we popped over to IGA for some grocery shopping. There isn’t much dining options at Kalbarri, so we decide to prep our own meals for the next day, and since our accommodation do have a kitchen.
