[Virtual Travel] Perth Road Trip Day 4

8:45am: Pelican Feeding Point

After breakfast (self-prep), we head over to the Pelican Feeding Point to watch the pelicans get fed. Feeding occurs at 8:45am daily, donations are appreciated to help cover the cost of fish. This movement was started by Cliff Ross in 1975, and is now continued by local volunteers.

9:30am: Rainbow Jungle (2.5hrs)

After which, we head over to Rainbow Jungle. Rainbow Jungle is regarded as Australia’s most beautiful parrot habitat, with many magnificently coloured Australian parrots. The park is as beautiful, with brick pathways, waterfalls, fountains and lily ponds! It also has a maze - don’t get lost in it!

2pm: Kalbarri National Park (3hrs)

We headed back to the resort and prep lunch. After lunch, we started our journey into Kalbarri National Park. There are a few main photo spots here - Kalbarri Skywalk, Nature’s Window, The Loop, Z Bend, Hawks Head Lookout and Ross Graham Lookout.

Kalbarri National Park is one of the most spectacular parks in Western Australia. It is one of the best places in the world to find ancient traces of the first life on land. Over the past 400 million years, the flow of the Murchison River has created magnificent deep red and white banded gorges, which stretch 80km toward the ocean.

5pm: To IGA - grocery shopping, road-trip food (30mins)

We head back to IGA to get more items for the journey back to Perth. Back to the resort to prep dinner and pack-up.
