[Ingredients]
4 chicken thigh with drumstick
1 bulb garlic - sliced half
50g ginger - sliced
80g scallion - sliced into 3 sections
1.5L water
1/2 cup rice wine
1/2 cup dark soy sauce
1/2 cup light soy sauce
40g rock sugar
1tsp five spice powder
2 cinnamon stick
2 star anise
Sesame oil
[Steps]
Fill pot with water. Add in remaining ingredients, except chicken and sesame oil. Bring to a boil.
Add in chicken. Cover and simmer for 45mins.
Remove chicken from pot and set aside. Chop into serving slices and place them on a serving dish.
Mix braising sauce with some sesame oil and pour over chicken. Serve.
