Bak Kwa


[Ingredients]

  • 1kg minced meat

  • 1/2tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1/4tsp five spice powder

  • 1/2tsp coriander powder

  • 1/2tsp pepper

  • 2tbsp light soy sauce

  • 2tbsp fish sauce

  • 1tbsp hua diao jiu

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 1tsp dark soy sauce

  • Honey

[Steps]

  1. In a large mixing bowl, mix all ingredients together.

  2. Spread mixture thinly over two parchment paper-lined baking tray - using the back of the spoon to spread it out and a spatula to smooth the top.

  3. Let marinade for 1hr.

  4. Bake at 180degC for 20-30mins. Once done, cut pork into square slices.

  5. Grill over charcoal fire, brushing with honey, 2mins on each side.
