[Ingredients]

  • 450g broccoli

  • 1 1/2tbsp groundnut oil

  • 4 cloves lightly crushed garlic

  • 1tsp salt

  • 1/2tsp ground black pepper

  • 6tbsp water

  • 2tsp sesame oil

[Steps]

  1. Cut broccoli heads into small florets. Peel and slice the stems.

  2. Heat a wok over high heat. Add oil and when it is very hot and slightly smoking, add garlic, salt and pepper. Stir fry 30secs or until garlic is lightly browned.

  3. Add broccoli and stir fry 2mins. Add water and cover tightly and cook over high heat for 4 to 5mins.

  4. Uncover and test the broccoli by piercing using the tip of a knife - it should go in quite easily.

  5. Stir fry for another 30secs and serve.
