[Ingredients]

  • 450g ground meat

  • 16g fresh bread crumbs

  • 35g dried bread crumbs

  • 2tbsp milk

  • 1 medium finely chopped onion (sauteed in 1/2tbsp oil until translucent)

  • 1 egg

  • 1tsp salt

  • Black pepper

  • 1/2tsp ground nutmeg

  • 1tbsp vegetable oil

  • Tomato sauce or steak sauce

[Steps]

  1. Put all the ingredients, except oil and sauce, into a bowl and mix well using hands until meat is slightly sticky. Divide into 24 flattened balls.

  2. Heat oil in a nonstick frying pan over medium-high heat. Put patties into pan in batches. Cook until browned on one side, then flip over, lower heat and cover, cook for another 5 to 6mins.

  3. When patties are done (firm when touch), coat them with a little sauce before removing from pan. Allow to cool.

  4. Arrange patties in a single layer and freeze them. When frozen, pack into freezer bag or a box.

  5. Reheat: heat in dry nonstick pan (covered) for 8 to 10mins over medium-low heat OR microwave loosely covered with plastic wrap on high for 4 to 5mins.
