Air Fried Chinese-style Ribs



Serving: 3-4pax


[Ingredients]

  • 1kg spare ribs - sliced into individual ribs

  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce

  • 2 tbsp honey

  • 2 tbsp light soy sauce

  • 1 tsp dark soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp shaoxing wine

  • 1 tsp five spice powder

  • 1 tsp pepper

  • 10g grated ginger

  • 2 cloves grated garlic

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • 200ml water

  • Roasted sesame seeds - garnish

  • Chopped scallions - garnish


[Steps]

  1. Add all the ingredients into a large mixing bowl and mix well. Let chill covered for at least 2hrs or overnight.

  2. Add ribs mixture into a large wok and bring to a boil. Let cook covered on low heat for 30mins.

  3. Remove the cover and continue to cook it till sauce is thick and slightly caramelised.

  4. Transfer ribs to an airfryer and cook it at 200degC for 5-10mins.

  5. Serve it garnished with sesame seeds and scallions.
