Yields: about 70-100 1 inch-sized cookies
[Ingredients]
150g dark/semi-sweet chocolate chips
300g plain flour
230g unsalted butter
115g caster sugar
60g custard powder
2tbsp vanilla essence
[Steps]
Preheat oven 180 degC.
Place the butter and vanilla essence into a mixing bowl.
Sift flour, sugar and custard powder into the same bowl and beat until thoroughly mixed.
Fold in chocolate chips.
Spoon out the mixture one at a time and roll into small balls. Place the balls onto a baking tray, spaced about an inch to 1-and-a-half inch apart and flatten slightly. Bake in the oven for 12mins or until cooked and browned at the edges.
Remove from the oven and leave to cool completely on a wire rack. Store cookies in an airtight container.
