White Sugar Cake


[Ingredients]

  • 200g sifted rice flour

  • 410ml water

  • 1tsp dry yeast - mix with 1tsp warm water

  • 1/2tsp double action baking powder

  • 170g sugar

[Steps]

  1. Grease a 9inch square baking tin and lined it with greaseproof paper.

  2. Combine rice flour with water and sugar. Mix well.

  3. Cook mixture over low heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.

  4. Strain mixture, let cool and add in yeast and baking powder. Mix well and set aside for 8hrs.

  5. Pour mixture into baking tin and steam over high heat for 25mins. Allow to cool and cut into serving slices.
