Strawberry Ice Cream


[Ingredients]

  • 500g hulled strawberries

  • 50g icing sugar

  • Juice of 1/2 lemon

  • 300ml whipping cream

  • Strawberries for decoration

[Steps]

  1. Puree strawberries in a food processor until smooth and add in icing sugar and lemon juice, blend well.

  2. Press puree thru a sieve into a bowl.

  3. Whip cream until just thickened but still falls off from a spoon. Fold into puree and pour into a container.

  4. Freeze for 6hrs until firm, beating twice using a fork or the food processor to break up ice crystals.

  5. Scoop into dishes and decorate with strawberries.
