Salad Cream Chicken

[Ingredients]

  • 6 chicken drumsticks or 900g chicken

  • 1/2tsp chili powder

  • 1 1/2tsp sea salt

  • 1tbsp curry powder

  • 1tbsp sugar

  • 1tbsp corn starch

  • 1tbsp oil

  • 1 1/2tbsp Heinz salad cream

  • 2 1/2tbsp lemon juice

  • 2tbsp finely chopped garlic

  • 1tbsp oil - for brushing

[Steps]

  1. Preheat oven 180degC.

  2. Clean chicken, remove visible fats and pour hot water over.

  3. Drain and pat dry. Using a fork, prick chicken on both sides.

  4. Season with stated ingredients and keep covered in the fridge for 1hr.

  5. Brush some oil on the baking tray. Place marinated chicken on the tray with skin facing up.

  6. Spoon remaining marinade over chicken and brush chicken skin lightly with oil.

  7. Bake for 30mins on each side. If blood doesn't oozes out when poke, it is cooked.

  8. Place chicken on a plate and pour remaining sauce over.

  9. Serve hot or cold.
