[Ingredients]
3 peeled shallots
5 cloves peeled garlic
3tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2tbsp sweet plum sauce/honey
1 1/2tbsp steak sauce
1tbsp hoisin sauce
1/2 to 1tsp five spice powder
4tbsp oil
1tsp sesame oil
700g chicken thigh cut into serving pieces
24 rinsed and dried pandan leaves
Oil for deep frying
[Steps]
Grind shallots and garlic in a blender and mix together with other ingredients except for chicken and pandan leaves. Rub the mixture into chicken and set aside for 2hrs.
Wrap each chicken in a pandan leaf, tying it in a simple knot such that the chicken is being enclosed.
Deep fry chicken in very hot oil for 3 to 5mins and serve hot.
