Singapore-Style Fried Beehoon

[Ingredients]

  • 160g dried beehoon

  • 65g beansprouts

  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce

  • 0.5 tbsp dark soy sauce

  • 0.5 tbsp fish sauce

  • 0.5 tsp sugar

  • 1 tsp chicken powder

  • 2 tbsp cooking oil

  • 1 tbsp minced garlic

  • 4 tbsp water

  • Choice of toppings - shown here: hotdog, fishcake, luncheon meat, sunny side-up


[Steps]

  1. Blanch beehoon in hot water till soft. Drain and set aside.

  2. In a mixing bowl, mix light and dark soy sauce, fish sauce and chicken powder together. Set aside.

  3. In a heated pan with oil, stir-fry garlic till fragrant. Add in beehoon and water, mix well.

  4. Then, add in beansprouts. Followed by sauce mixture and mix well.

  5. Serve beehoon with choice of toppings.
