Sambal Prawns

[Ingredients]

  • 20g large tiger prawns

  • 1/3 cup oil

  • 2tbsp tomato ketchup

  • 1tbsp sugar

  • 1/2tsp salt


[Sambal Paste]

  • 8 red chilli

  • 10 shallot - peeled

  • 2 lemongrass - sliced

  • 8 cloves garlic - peeled

  • 20g belacan

  • 2tbsp assam paste


[Steps]

  1. Add sambal paste ingredients into a blender and blend into a smooth paste.

  2. In a heated pan, add in oil and sambal paste. Stir fry till fragrant.

  3. Add in ketchup, sugar and salt. Mix well.

  4. Lastly, add in prawns and cook till they turned red.
