Hotplate-style (No Hotplate) Beancurd


[Ingredients]

  • 2 egg beancurd - slice each pkt into 8pcs

  • 100g minced meat

  • 1/2pkt shimeiji mushroom

  • 2 eggs - beaten


*You can add any ingredients you like. Prawns, other types of mushroom, snap peas, carrot slices, baby corn, and so on.


[Sauce]

  • 400ml water

  • 2tbsp oyster sauce

  • 1tbsp light soy sauce

  • 1tsp dark soy sauce

  • 1tsp sesame oil

  • 1tbsp sugar

  • Cornstarch solution

[Steps]

  1. Pan-fry beancurd till golden on both sides. Drain on paper towels.

  2. Stir-fry minced meat and mushroom. Set aside.

  3. Pour in the eggs, cook it omelette style, roughly break it into smaller pieces, and set aside.

  4. Using the same pan, add in water, oyster sauce, light and dark soy sauce, sesame oil and sugar. Bring to a boil.

  5. Add in the beancurd, minced meat, mushroom and egg and mix well.
