Herbal Steamed Fish / Chicken Wing



[Ingredients]

- About 450g fish of your choice OR 8-10 chicken mid-wing / drumlet / mixed

(left: red grouper, right: cod fish)


- 3-4 slices of danggui 当归

- 4-5 slices of yuzhu 玉竹

- 3 red dates, pitted 红枣

- 4-5 dried longan 龙眼干

- 3-4 slices of ginger

- 1/2tsp sugar

- 1/2tsp salt

- 1/2tsp pepper

- 1tsp shallot / sesame oil

- 1tsp shoaxing wine


[Steps]

1. Pat dry fish / chicken.

2. Pre-soak herbs in 1/2 cup hot water.

3. Arrange fish / chicken into steaming dish. Pour herbs, together with soaking liquid, over. Steam at high heat for 12-15mins, or till fish / chicken is cooked through.
