Ginger Scallion Chicken


[Ingredients]

  • 5 garlic cloves - unpeeled, crushed

  • 1 stalk scallion - cut into lengths, separate white and green parts

  • 1 small portion of ginger - peeled, sliced

  • 10 chicken mid-joints

  • 1tbsp light soy sauce

  • 2tbsp dark soy sauce

  • 2tbsp sesame oil

  • 2tbsp hua diao wine

  • Ground white pepper

  • 1/2cup water

  • Cornstarch solution - 2tbsp starch + 5tbsp water


[Steps]

  1. Heat some oil in a pan.

  2. Add in garlic, white parts of scallion and ginger slices, stir-fry till fragrant.

  3. Add in chicken and mix well, followed by all the seasoning.

  4. Mix well, then pour in water and bring to a boil. Then let simmer for 10mins.

  5. Add in starch solution and mix well, cook till liquid thickens.
