Clam Chowder



Serving: 4-6pax


[Ingredients]

  • 5 slices of bacon - chopped

  • 160g yellow onion - peeled and diced

  • 2pcs celery - peeled and diced

  • 10g garlic - peeled and minced

  • 3 tbsp cornstarch

  • 0.5 tsp dried thyme

  • 500g frozen clams

  • 500ml clam stock

  • 190g potatoes - peeled and diced

  • 1 bay leaf

  • 1 can Marigold-brand King of Kings full cream evapourated milk

  • Salt and black pepper


[Steps]

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, add in bacon and stir-fry till browned.

  2. Add in onion and celery and stir-fry for 4-5mins till translucent.

  3. Add in starch and mix well.

  4. Followed by potatoes, thyme, pepper, stock and bay leaf. Mix well and let simmer covered for 10-15mins till potatoes are soft.

  5. Add in evapourated milk and let cook for 5mins. Add in clams and let cook for another 2-3mins. Season with salt.
