Char Siew Pork Ribs


[Ingredients]

  • 500g pork ribs - rinsed, pat dry

  • 1 1/2tbsp gula melaka

  • 1/3 cup stock


[Marinade]

  • 2tsp fermented glutinous red rice

  • 2 cubes chilli fermented beancurd

  • 1tbsp oyster sauce

  • 1tbsp dark soy sauce

  • 1tbsp rice wine

  • 1tbsp sugar

  • 1tsp five spice powder


[Steps]

  1. Combine marinade ingredients and ribs together. Leave to marinate at least 4hrs.

  2. Place ribs and marinade in a pressure cooker at cook at mode 60 for 30-35mins.

  3. Remove ribs from the pot. Add in gula melaka and stock, and cook over heat till the liquid thickens.

  4. Drizzle the sauce over the ribs.
