Braised Ribs (Pressure Cook)


[Ingredients]

  • 400g pork ribs - rinsed and scored

  • 1 yellow onion - peeled and sliced

  • 4-5 garlic cloves - peeled smashed

  • 200ml stock

  • 2 tau kwa - sliced and pan-fried

  • 1.5tbsp dark soy sauce

[Marinade]

  • 1tbsp chopped ginger

  • 1tbsp chopped garlic

  • 1tbsp sesame oil

  • 1tbsp light soy sauce

  • 1tbsp balsamic vinegar

  • 1tsp sugar


[Steps]

  1. Mix ribs and marinade ingredients together, let marinate 2hrs.

  2. Saute onion and garlic till fragrant and onions are soft.

  3. Add in ribs and cook for a few mins.

  4. Add in remaining ingredients, mix well and bring to a simmer.

  5. Pressure cook at pressure 70 for 35mins. Ribs should be ready it is falling-off-the-bone tender and liquid has reduced into a gravy.
