Beef Lasagna

[Ingredients]

  • 1 garlic clove, chopped (about 5g)

  • 40g grated gruyere - alternative: parmesan

  • 1/2 onion, chopped (about 50g)

  • 30g mixed greens - alternative: arugula / rocket

  • 175ml tomato puree

  • 2 sheets wholegrain lagsana (about 40g)

  • 2tsp extra virgin olive oil - alternative: cold pressed canola oil

  • 75g ground beef

  • 10g fresh basil, chopped


[Steps]

  1. Preheat oven 175degC.

  2. Cook lasagna according to packaging instructions till al dente.

  3. Heat half the olive oil in pan over medium heat.

  4. Add in beef, garlic and onion, cook for 10mins. Add in basil and mix well.

  5. In a glass dish, add a thin layer of tomato. Followed by pasta, then tomato, beef, pasta, tomato beef, pasta.

  6. Sprinkle cheese over and bake for 20mins.

  7. Drizzle remaining olive oil over salad and serve with lasagna.
