[Ingredients]
200g minced beef - season with 1/2tsp sea salt, 1/2tsp black pepper
1 yellow onion - peeled and chopped
3 garlic cloves - peeled and chopped
1/4tsp Italian dried mixed herbs
100ml beef stock
2 sticks celery - peeled and diced
1 small carrot - peeled and diced
1 can (227g) unsalted tomato puree / sauce
Sugar, salt and pepper
[Steps]
In a sauce pot, saute beef till just browned over high heat. Set aside.
Using the same pot, saute onion, garlic, celery and carrot over low heat till soft.
Add in mixed herbs, beef stock and tomato. Mix well and bring to a simmer.
Add in beef and let simmer for 10-12mins.
Adjust seasoning and serve over pasta.
