Last day of the trip, so we couldn’t plan much as we have a ferry to catch at 5:30pm. After check-out, we decided to return to Grand Batam Mall again for brunch at Shaburi and Kintan Buffet as the barbecue beef buffet looks so good when we went pass it yesterday! We went for the Premium Kintan Buffet priced at IDR 368k++, which includes chicken steak (boneless thigh), lamb, chicken cheese sausage, beef cheese sausage, and 8 beef cuts. Of which I love the thinly sliced karubi cut in teriyaki sauce, and shimofuri cut (marbled beef) the most! Tried their KOI and headed to Nagoya Hill Shopping Centre next for some last minute grocery shopping - Indomie, yakult, snacks and more drinks!

Took a Grab to Diana Layer Cakes to get some kueh lapis, this place is really famous, but they were closed for new year! Our driver called up his friend to check if there is any other kueh lapis that is open, and we head over to Alya Kueh Lapis. This place is cheaper than Diana and offer lots of flavours, but they don’t sell half-size and Diana was actually better - but Alya was not too bad too. Diana’s original kueh lapis is at IDR 250k, while Alya’s is at IDR 200k. Much cheaper than S’pore - Bengawan Solo is selling at $65 for the same size (the standard is about the same)!
