Sweet Potato Ondeh Ondeh


[Ingredients]

  • 150g purple sweet potato, peeled and cut into smaller pieces

  • 150g orange sweet potato, peeled and cut into smaller pieces

  • 100g glutinous rice flour

  • 2-4tbsp water

  • 150g gula melaka, chopped

  • 150g grated coconut

[Steps]

  1. Steam sweet potatoes till soft. Mash.

  2. For each potato, add in 50g flour and 1-2tbsp water. Mix into a dough.

  3. Divide doughs into 20g portions. For each portion, roll into a ball, then flatten. Add in some gula melaka, seal it up and roll into a ball again.

  4. Boil rice balls till they start to float.

  5. Remove them from the pot and coat with coconut.
