Sesame Chicken 麻油鸡


[Ingredients]

  • 600g chicken, cut into serving pieces

  • 80ml Huiji Waist Tonic

  • 3tbsp sesame oil

  • 60g ginger, peeled and julienned

  • 1/2tsp dark soy sauce

  • 3tbsp light soy sauce

  • 2tsp oyster sauce

  • 1/4tsp pepper

  • 10g rock sugar

  • 100ml water

  • 1 stalk scallions, chopped

[Steps]

  1. In a bowl, add in light soy sauce, 1/2tbsp sesame oil, pepper and 30ml Huiji Waist Tonic. Mix well and marinate for 15mins.

  2. In a claypot, add in 2.5tbsp sesame oil and ginger, stir-fry till fragrant, followed by chicken, stir-fry for 2mins.

  3. Add in remaining ingredients, except for waist tonic and scallions. Cook covered for 15mins.

  4. Add in remaining waist tonic, mix well, and served sprinkled with scallions.
