Bubur Pulut Hitam 黑糯米


[Ingredients]

  • 300g black glutinous rice, soaked overnight

  • 200g rock sugar

  • 2L water

  • 2 pandan leaves, tie into a knot

  • 100g dried longan

  • 1/8tsp salt

  • Topping: 200ml coconut cream + 1/4tsp salt

[Steps]

  1. In a pot, add in drained rice, rock sugar, water, and pandan leaves. Simmer for 1hr, stirring occasionally.

  2. In another pot, add in coconut cream and salt, mix well and bring to a simmer. Remove from heat and set aside.

  3. Add dried longans to rice and stir well. Let simmer for 10mins.

  4. Add in salt, mix well. Turn off heat and let rest covered for 30secs.

  5. Serve topped with coconut sauce.
