Chocolate Chip Cookies


[Ingredients]

  • 60g dark (semi-sweet) chocolate chips

  • 110g plain flour

  • 110g soft unsalted butter

  • 55g caster sugar

  • 30g custard powder

  • 1tsp vanilla essence

  • Orange zest (grated).

[Steps]

  1. Preheat oven 180 degC.

  2. Place the butter, vanilla essence and zest into a mixing bowl.

  3. Sift flour, sugar and custard powder into the same bowl and beat until thoroughly mixed.

  4. Fold in chocolate chips.

  5. Spoon out the mixture one at a time and roll into small balls. Place the balls onto a baking tray and flatten. Bake in the oven for 25mins or until cooked.

  6. Remove from the oven and leave to cool on a wire cooling rack.
