Soybean Donut

[Ingredients]

  • 50g softened butter

  • 50g sugar

  • 15g honey

  • 1 egg

  • 90ml milk

  • 140g cake flour

  • 5g cornstarch

  • 10g kinako (roasted soybean flour)

  • Pinch of salt

  • 3g baking powder

[Steps]

  1. Whisk butter till loosen. Add in sugar and honey, whisk until pale and creamy.

  2. Beat egg and add in, whisk.

  3. Sift flour, starch, soybean flour, salt and baking powder. Fold half the amount into the mixture, followed by milk, and then the other half of the dry ingredients.

  4. Transfer batter into a piping bag fitted with a round tip.

  5. Pipe batter into a mini donut mould pan and bake in a preheated oven of 170-180degC for 25-30mins. Let cool completely on wire rack.
