Onion Scone

[Ingredients]
1/2 onion
60g butter
200g cake flour + extra for dusting
30g sugar
3g salt
5g baking powder
85ml milk + extra for brushing
Cooking oil
Salt and pepper
[Steps]
Peel and slice onion. Sweat with salt and pepper in a frying pan until transparent. Chill until required.
Place flour, salt, sugar and baking powder in a large mixing bowl. Cut butter into cubes and knead into dry ingredients until mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
Make a well in the center and pour milk in. Mix well until a rough dough is formed. Knead in onion.
Dust worktop with flour and transfer dough to worktop. Knead till a smooth dough is formed. Roll dough out and fold into half. Repeat twice.
Roll dough out to a thickness of 2cm. Divide into 4 portions.
Brush dough with milk and bake in a preheated oven of 190degC for 15-20mins.
