Naan


[Ingredients]

  • 2tsp sunflower oil

  • 250g plain flour

  • 1/4tsp salt

  • 1/2tsp baking soda

  • 170g Greek-style yogurt

[Steps]

  1. Cut out 4 pieces of foil, each measuring 28 x 20cm and brush them with oil.

  2. Sift flour, salt and baking soda together into a bowl.

  3. Add yogurt and stir thoroughly to make a soft dough.

  4. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5 to 7mins until smooth.

  5. Preheat grill to high.

  6. Cut dough into quarters. Roll each one into an oval - 25 x 18cm. Lay each piece on each foil.

  7. Place the naan about 15 to 20cm away from the heat. Cook until naan starts to bubble and browns slightly, about 2mins. Makes sure it doesn't overcook.

  8. Cook the other side for 1 to 2mins or until firm and browned. Serve hot or cold.
