Hokkien-style Bak Kut Teh


[Ingredients]

  • 1 Box New Moon Premium Bak Kut Teh

  • 300g Pork Bones of Your Choice

  • 5 Bulb Peeled Garlic - keep it as a whole, don't separate into individual cloves

  • 2-3 Cinnamon Sticks

  • 2-3 Star Anise

  • 5-6 Cloves

  • 20g Seedless Red Dates

  • 50g Dried Longans

  • Handful of Wolfberries

  • 2-3tbsp Light Soy Sauce

  • Ground Pepper

[Steps]

  1. Boil 3L of water with bak kut teh sachets, garlic, cinnamon, star anise and cloves.

  2. When water starts to boil, add in bones. Reduce heat and let simmer for 1hr.

  3. Add in red dates, longans, soy sauce and pepper, mix well. Simmer for another 30mins.

  4. Remove sachets and unwanted spices, add in wolfberries, stir well. Serve hot.
