Caesar Salad


[Ingredients]

  • Romaine lettuce

  • 1 canned anchovy

  • 50g mayonnaise

  • Lemon juice from 1 wedge

  • 1 egg - hardboiled, quartered

  • 15g croutons (about 6-8 pieces)*

  • 1 cherry tomato - quartered

  • 10g bacon bits

  • 2tbsp parmesan cheese - grated + extra for garnish

  • 2tsp dijon mustard

  • Pepper

[Steps]

  1. * To make croutons on your own, cut white bread into 1cm cubes (without crust). Pan fry using butter until golden and crisp on all sides.

  2. Smash anchovy in a bowl. Add in mayonnaise, mustard, lemon juice and parmesan. Mix well, season with pepper. * Do not use too much anchovy as it is very strong in flavour and salty.

  3. Tear leaves into smaller pieces and toss in dressing. Arrange neatly on a plate.

  4. Top on egg, tomato, crouton and sprinkle bacon and parmesan over.
