
7:30am: Breakfast at Pain Chaud 百丘
Pain Chaud is a bakery that doubles up as a cafe, specialising in French bakes like croissant, canele, choux puffs, tarts and cakes. This store at Jianguo West Road has a really beautiful and elegant storefront, another perfect photo spot for Instagram! Their top selling items are Pistachio Choux Puff (开心果泡芙), Lemon Meringue Tart (柠檬挞), Croissant (可颂), Almond Croissant (杏仁可颂), King's Pie (国王饼), and Mont Blanc Tart (栗子挞).

9:15am: Shanghai Film Park 上海影视乐园 (4hrs)
The Shanghai Film Park is a cultural site built for filming and sightseeing, modeled after old Shanghai in the 1930s. It consists of the old Nanjing Road, the Shikumen alleyways, old town of Shanghai, European buildings, and many more. Other than the vintage buildings, there is also a costume and props exhibition, vintage cars exhibition, 3D magic art exhibition and 5D circular screen theatre. Tired of walking? Hop on the vintage tram that brings you around the park! Get dressed up with costumes and props from different dynasties and styles, and don't miss out the film stunts show at 10:30am and 1:30pm!
2:15pm: Lunch at Fuchun Xiaolong 富春小笼
Next, we have lunch at Fuchun Xiaolong. It’s a must-try for their soup dumplings and handmade wontons. Try this dish called “dan dang” (单档), a soup dish consisting of chicken and pork broth, shrimp and pork sausages wrapped in beancurd skin, and fried gluten puff stuffed with pork meatball.

3pm: SMAKA Cafe
Next, we pop by SMAKA Cafe, which specialises in Budapest Roll. They have a clean white and wood design, paired with elegant dark blue velvet chairs, a perfect afternoon tea spot! Other than the Budapest Rolls, Cinnamon Roll and Mont Blanc are crowd favourites as well.

4:30pm: Walk around Xintiandi 新天地, Shikumen Museum 屋里厢博物馆 (2hrs)
After which, we head over to Xintiandi. Tianzifang and Xintiandi - Tianzifang is the hipster district, while Xintiandi is the classy district. Xintiandi is unique for its “shikumen” houses, building with a rock cave doorway. Experience the blend of 1920s Shanghai and the modern lifestyle of the 21st century. The north block consists of antique shikumen buildings with modern interior design, and features premium stores and restaurants. The south block consists of modern architecture with shikumen design as an accompaniment, and features modern stores from around the world, boutiqes, restaurants, cinemas, and so on.
Check out the Shikumen Museum, which presents a house in traditional Shikumen style, the Shanghai life around 1920s-30s.


7pm: Dinner at Zhending Chicken 振鼎鸡
Following after, we have dinner at Zhending Chicken, a famous boiled chicken place that is good and affordable. One of Singaporean's favourite dish is definitely boiled chicken rice, so we have to try the Shanghai version too! Zhending offers noodles and porridge too.
8:30pm: 404 Not Found 查无此店 (bar)
Lastly, we head to 404 Not Found, what a cool name! Does this phrase sounds familiar? It is an error response code indicating that the server can't find the requested link. This "404 Not Found" is a bar in Mediterranean style.
