7am: Check-out of Hotel, to Roma Termini (train station)
The best way to travel between Rome and Venice is by the high speed train. You also get to enjoy the beautiful Italian countryside scenery along the way. The train do have allocated spaces for luggage. Tickets tend to get more and more expensive as you approach closer to departure date. Reserve in advance and you could get the ticket for as low as €30. Early morning departures and trains leaving around dinner time also tend to be slightly cheaper as they have a lower demand.
Take the 8am train and you should reach Venice by 12pm. The first Venice stop is Venezia Mestre, but you should buy tickets for Venezia Santa Lucia.
12pm: Arrive at Venezia Santa Lucia (train station)
Upon alighting at Santa Lucia train station, you will be greeted with the amazing view of Grand Canal. Take a 30mins ferry ride to the hotel that will travel along the Grand Canal and enjoy a beautiful scenic ride along the way.
1pm: Check-in to UNAHOTELS Ala Venezia
The chosen accommodation for the stay in Venice is UNAHOTELS Ala Venezia (Hotel Ala), about €100/night with breakfast.
2pm: Lunch at Pizzeria Sansovino

5:30pm: Grand Canal / Canal Grande
As you know, the city of Venice is very much surrounded by water. The Grand Canal is one of the major water-traffic corridors of the city. The canal stretches from near Santa Lucia train station and leads into the basin at San Marco, forming a large reverse-S shape.
7pm: Dinner at Osteria Al Squero
