10am: Colosseum / Colosseo
An amphitheatre completed in 80 AD and is the largest ancient amphitheatre ever been built and still remains as the world’s largest amphitheatre today. The Colosseum sits 80,000 spectators and was used for gladiatorial contests and other public spectacles like executions, animal hunts, re-enactments of famous battles and dramas. Although the structure is substantially ruined because of earthquakes and stone-robbers, it still remains as an iconic symbol of Imperial Rome and remains as one of the 7 wonders of the world.

5pm: Pompi Tiramisu
When you think of Italian desserts, you’ll definitely think of tiramisu! If you hadn’t know, “tiramisu” means “pick me up”, and the right way to do it is by soaking savoiardi biscuits in coffee and layering it with mascarpone cream, topped with cocoa powder. A lot of bakeries these days do the cheat way by using sponge cake instead. Pompi is one of the top tiramisu brands in Italy so it is a must to give it a try!
6pm: Victor Emmanuel II Monument / Monumento Nazionale a Vittorio Emanuele II
A national monument built in honour of Victor Emmanuel II. It was decided to include an altar dedicated to the homeland in the Vittoriano - the Altar of the Fatherland. After the first world war, the Vittoriano was chosen to house the tomb of the Unknown Soldier - the burial of an Italian soldier who died during the first world war whose identity remains unknown due to the serious injuries that made the body unrecognisable. The monument holds the tomb with an eternal flame, built under the statue of Goddess Roma. His tomb is a symbolic shrine that represents all the fallen and missing of the war.
7:30pm: Dinner at McDonald’s
Every new country that I go to, I always like to try their version of McDonald's. I believe and I think it is, that every country has its own exclusive items.
Nutella-filled croissant and in the land of tiramisu, mcd needs to has its version too right? And, other than fresh apples, mcd Italy also offers baby carrots, pineapple and grapes. Cool.
