9am: The Vintage Emporium (Cafe), Oromia Coffee & Lounge
A 10mins drive to The Vintage Emporium for breakfast, a beautiful colonial-style cafe. Then, to Oromia Coffee & Lounge, a Scandinavian-style cafe.
11am: Tan Dinh Church
Next, a 10mins drive to Tan Dinh Church. It was built during the French colonial period in the 1870s when Vietnam was part of French Indochina. Spotting a pink Roman-style architecture, it is the 2nd largest church in Ho Chi Minh after Notre Dame Cathedral of Saigon.
12pm: L’Usine (Cafe), Miyama Cafe
Then, to L’Usine, another colonial-style cafe. Followed by Miyama Cafe for some desserts, a modern Japanese-style cafe. Miyama Cafe is designed to make you feel as if you are sitting in Tokyo, watching the busy streets of Shibuya. Enjoy quality Japanese-flavoured desserts and Japanese cuisine with international flavours. Recommended items are the Japanese Strawberry Shortcake and Matcha Mille Feuille.
2pm: Ben Thanh Market
Then, walk over to Ben Thanh Market, Ho Chi Minh’s largest market and one of the oldest surviving structures in Ho Chi Minh. It is a great place to get local handicrafts, textiles and souvenirs.
3:30pm: Vincom Center (Mall)
Next, to Vincom Center, the largest mall in Ho Chi Minh, a commercial, business and living complex. It consists of 2 parts - a 2-storey colonial building and a 7-storey glass skyscraper.
5pm: Parkson Saigon Tourist Plaza (Mall) + dinner
Last location for the day, Parkson Saigon Tourist Plaza, located next to Vincom Centre. This is the flagship store for Parkson Vietnam. It underwent a revamp last year, aimed to provide a new and different shopping experience for shoppers.
