8:30am: to Airport, depart to Siem Reap
That wraps up Phnom Penh. Head to the airport and depart for Siem Reap.
11am: Arrive at Siem Reap Airport, Check-in to Popular Hotel & Spa
Upon arriving at the airport, head to the hotel to check-in, a 20mins drive away.
1pm: Lunch at Sister Srey Cafe
Walk over to Sister Srey cafe for lunch. It is opened by Sisters Lauren and Cassie to create a social enterprise that trains, educate and empower disadvantaged Khmers. Supporting young Khmer students who struggle to keep a balance between studies and supporting their family.
2pm: Psar Chas (Siem Reap Old Market)
Then, walk over to Psar Chas, Siem Reap’s old market. It is popular with tourists and sell souvenirs. There are also a variety of food stalls.
4pm: Pottery Class at Khmer Ceramics & Fine Art Centre
Following after, we head to Khmer Ceramics for a pottery class. Cambodian ceramics is a tradition dating back to the 3rd millennium BC. Pottery and ceramics were an essential part of the trade between Cambodia and its neighbours. The Khmer Ceramics & Fine Art Centre was established in 2006 to redevelop ancient pottery techniques and production. An important collection is now housed at National Museum of Cambodia (located at Phnom Penh).
6:30pm: Dinner at The Square 24 Restaurant
After which, head to The Square 24 for dinner, a 10mins drive away.
8pm: Phare, The Cambodian Circus
Lastly, enjoy an entertaining show put up by Phare, consisting of a blend of traditional and modern theatre, music, dance and acrobatics. It is founded by 8 young Cambodian ex-refugees of the Khmer Rouge regime. English subtitles will be provided on screen.
