0900hrs: Breakfast at Bonjuk 본죽 (Myeongdong)

Bonjuk is the leading rice porridge brand in Korea, offering a wide range of options. Porridge is traditionally perceived as a dish only for patients and infants, as well as a typical winter holiday food, not till Bonjuk who created a new market for porridge to be enjoyed by anyone on any occasion.

1100hrs: Walk around Myeongdong Cathedral 명동성당

Christianity was heavily persecuted during the Joseon dynasty of Korea. As interest grew, Emperor Gojong of Korea was finally convinced of the value of having a Christian cathedral in 1892 and the cathedral was completed in 1898. It is also Korea’s first Gothic building.

1600hrs: Deoksugung 덕수궁 Stonewall Road, Mariwhale Macaron 마리웨일

The stonewall road is basically the walls of Deoksugung, and this road is getting increasingly popular after being featured in many Korean dramas, such as “Taxi Driver”, “Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol”, “Goblin”, and “My Love from Another Star”. It is Korea’s first successful attempt in creating an urban space where people and nature coexist, and is one of the popular spots for autumn foliage.



1700hrs: Seoullo 7017 서울로7017

Seoullo 7017 is one of the elevated highway that gets repurpose into a pedestrian green space. “70” represents the year the flyover was built, in 1970. “17” represents both the number of walkways connected to it, and the year Seoullo 7017 was built, in 2017.
