I was in Hong Kong for 8 days and I tried so many brands of Boba Tea for their version of Brown Sugar Boba Fresh Milk. After trying out so many brands, I realised the brand and taste of brown sugar really does matters and that’s the main essence of the drink! While since 70% of the drink is just fresh milk. Next, is the layer of cheese cream that sits on the drink! But what is cheese cream? You know how cheese drinks are made? That layer of cheese cream that sits on your selected drink? That’s the one! Here is my opinion on my top 3 favourites!
这次在香港待了8天,也试了很多茶饮店的黑糖珍珠鲜奶。试了这么多,其实发现到采用的黑糖,不管是品牌或煮出来的味道其实非常的重要因为他就是整个饮料最重要的关键。另外非常重要的就是饮料上的那层奶盖!最后一个材料当然就是鲜奶。什么是奶盖?知道芝士(乳酪)饮料吗?饮料上的那层乳酪奶油就是奶盖。以下就是我本身认为最好喝的3家茶饮店。
再继续之前,先说一样东西,其实我的这个 Travel Journal 的题材是想要做双语的,可是因为我的华语程度没有很好,所以很难把英文翻译写成中文。以前我比较有空档时间,所以可以慢慢用 Google Translate 把中文部分写完。所以我之前曼谷旅程的每日博客文章写到一半就没写了😅。香港旅程好像也只有这个博客文章有写中文。因为只是形容饮料罢了,所以相比比较容易些。
1st: Xing Fu Tang 幸福堂
My favourite has definitely going to be Xing Fu Tang! One of the popular Boba Tea brands from Taiwan. Xing Fu Tang’s version comes with warm chewy bobas cooked with brown sugar. The drink is then topped with a layer of cheese cream, sprinkled with brown sugar and blowtorched, to give a nice bruleed effect. The cheese cream doesn’t really have much taste to it though. However, with the additional brown sugar granules, it does sometimes give the drink a little grainy texture. This does not really affect me though as this is the only brand that made me had it more than once! The entire store set-up and the drink are really photo-worthy!
我最喜欢的茶饮店就是幸福堂!来自台湾非常著名品牌之一,幸福堂的版本包括和黑糖一起熬煮的珍珠,非常有咬劲。饮料上了一层奶盖后,会沙些黑糖,然后再用喷枪把糖烤焦。奶盖其实没什么味道。而另外沙上的黑糖有时会使饮料有种沙沙的口感,有些可能会不喜欢。但对我而言,没什么大问题,只有这间我才有重复喝。而且整个店面和饮料非常漂亮,拍照很好看!

2nd: Belle Époque 美好年代
Belle Époque is another Boba Tea brand from Taiwan, Taichung to be specific. Their cheese cream that sits on the drink is one of the BEST that I have ever had! For not because of the type of brown sugar they use, they could be the best of the best! Their cheese cream has a slightly thicker consistency and that cream has nice bits of soft cheese in it. The top is also bruleed, which gives the drink a really nice burnt, smokey taste, unlike Xing Fu Tang. If you minus out the brown sugar bobas, the layer of cheese cream indeed made it a super good drink. However, their version of bobas are definitely not close to Xing Fu Tang in terms of fragrance and taste. Since brown sugar is the main essence of the drink, I push this to 2nd.
排名第2也是来自台湾的品牌,比较正确是台中,台中的美好年代。他们的奶盖是我喝过最好的!要不是应为他们用错黑糖,一定是极品中的极品!他们的奶盖相比来说会比较凑一些,奶盖里也能喝到小小片的乳酪。奶盖上也有用喷枪烤焦,使整个饮料喝起来有种烟熏味,非常好喝,不像幸福堂。如果把黑糖珍珠拿掉的话,这一定是一杯非常非常好的饮料。不过因为饮料重点就是黑糖珍珠,所以把美好年代推到第2。

Aboutea is good enough with a nice balance of everything. Their taste of brown sugar is good, the bobas have a nice chewy texture. All is good but kind of normal since you have brands that bring up the benchmark by so much. If you are looking for a nice cup of Brown Sugar Boba Milk, but want to skip out all those crazy queues and trends, you can go for this!
排名第3的就是花班茶社。他们的版本所有的材料都刚刚好。黑糖的味道非常好,珍珠也很有咬劲。也一般的茶饮店相比,当然算是比较好。但当如果和著名茶饮店相比,他就变成一杯非常普通的饮料。如果想喝到一杯好的黑糖珍珠鲜奶,但又不想和别人一起疯狂排队,可以尝尝这家。

BONUS: The truth about Tiger Sugar 老虎堂的真相
A Boba Tea brand from Taiwan that sets people queuing for hours? I finally tried it and my verdict? TOTALLY NOT WORTH IT and probably one of the worst boba drinks I ever had. I don’t even know what’s the craze about queuing for this! The cup also looks smaller than other brands, but selling at the same price. The drink has a really mild brown sugar taste to it and the bobas were so soft, it’s almost like chewing on jellies instead. The bobas were also too warm that the ice melted really quickly! This also didn’t make the drink icy cold. Within 5mins or so, the drink tasted almost like diluted milk and I just threw it away with half left. The brown sugar though, has a nice fragrance and taste to it. It will be perfect if there had been more brown sugar and the bobas has a more chewy texture to it.
来自台湾让人疯狂排上几小时的茶饮店?我也试了。试了感想如何?超级无敌不值得!也算是我这一身喝过最难喝的珍珠饮料之一。不晓得为何大家都抢着排队呢?和其他品牌一样的价格,但杯子却好像小了一点。饮料中的黑糖味非常的淡,珍珠也非常的软,没咬劲。咬起来像果冻一样的软。杯子里的珍珠也相当热,冰块很快就融化!饮料当然没到冷冰冰的状态。没到5分钟,饮料喝起来就像稀释牛奶。喝不到一半我就把他给扔了。不过,实用的黑糖的确非常香,味道非常好。如果能增加黑糖的分量,如果珍珠比较有咬劲,的确是杯算好的饮料。
