My Airbnb Accommodation in Seoul

In case you are still not sure what Airbnb is all about, it is an online portal based in San Francisco and it is a website that allows people to list and/or book accommodation from all round the world. It is generally pretty safe and what I like about Airbnb is that you get to choose the type of place that you will like to stay in (i.e. apartment, house, by the beach, central district, etc.) and most of these listings come with many amenities such as wifi, kitchen and washer, that most hotel rooms do not come with. I feel it is more convenient and affordable to stay at an airbnb accommodation as compared to hotels, hostels or guesthouse.

I spent quite a bit of time to look for something decent and affordable, and I found this listing (no, it wasn't a hanok - Korean traditional house)! Just to be safe, I only looked through listings that are posted by female hosts, especially since I'm travelling alone.

My Airbnb host, by the name of Sul, has two listings - room A and room B; where I booked room B. Everything is well labelled with 'A' and 'B', with an open rooftop area that is great for some barbecue session or a simple meal under the sun or moonlight. Both rooms are almost identical with a queen-sized bed, a table lamp and a simple hanging rack, charged at the same price. She also provides bedroom slippers, hangers, some dry food and snacks, canned drinks, towels and simple toiletries. The place is well located within three subway stations and it is not far away from Dongdaemun Market and Dongdaemun Design Plaza. In addition, because of it's locality, it only takes within 30mins to get to many popular tourist attractions and shopping districts, such as Hongdae, Garosu-gil, Namdaemun Market, Gyeongbokgung and Tosokchon.

Without further ado, check out some photos of my awesome airbnb accommodation!

#4: Up the stairs to the last floor, 4th floor.

#5: I guess the two units on the last floor is much more expensive than the rest of the units downstairs as these two units have this extra security door. The doors of these two units are much bigger and a lot prettier as well.
